The Project Manager (PM) is responsible for managing all aspects of a project's development and execution from contract signing through project closeout, ensuring the project meets its goals within the contracted scope, schedule, and budget. This "cradle-to-grave" project management approach demands high standards of professionalism and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Development:
o Support Customer Solutions Managers and Technical Solutions Managers during sales and project development.
o Collaborate with functional group leads to select the appropriate project team.
Project Administration:
o Follow established processes for project setup within company systems.
o Lead contract management tasks, including insurance, bonding, and change orders.
o Organize project files and ensure all documents are correctly saved.
o Coordinate and complete project closeout activities.
Scope Management:
o Manage project scope as defined in the sales contract.
o Clearly communicate scope to the project team during kickoff activities.
o Handle scope changes with clients or partners, resolving issues proactively.
Budget Management:
o Ensure accurate project setup in electronic platforms (e.g., Spectrum).
o Review monthly project spend with the Project Accountant.
o Develop and manage change orders and budget adjustments.
o Approve project-related invoices, expense reports, and credit card charges weekly.
o Lead the production of monthly AR invoices and review them prior to distribution.
o Communicate budget changes with clients or partners proactively.
Schedule Management:
o Develop, formalize, and finalize the project schedule.
o Manage the project according to the agreed schedule.
o Resolve schedule delays with technical teams while maintaining overall project schedule.
o Communicate schedule deviations with clients and internal teams.
o Keep the schedule updated in the appropriate electronic platform.
Quality Management:
o Conduct QA/QC review of all technical documents.
o Ensure critical project scope issues are addressed in deliverables.
o Oversee all critical steps of the project, including site visits during development and construction.
Sustainability:
o Ensure project decisions align with sustainability goals as agreed in the scope and sales contract.
o Communicate and resolve changes in sustainability outcomes with clients or partners.
Communication:
o Engage with government inspectors, clients, and property owners to offer updates and resolve issues.
o Lead Project Team meetings and keep team members informed as per the PM RACI model.
Client Coordination:
o Maintain client peace of mind through excellence in project delivery and regular updates.
o Proactively explain project challenges and solutions to the client.
o Ensure clients and partners provide necessary materials to maintain the project schedule.
o Strengthen client relationships through data, information sharing, and problem-solving.

Minimum Qualifications:

o Bachelor's degree; substantial (5+ years) relevant experience may substitute.
o Master's Degree preferred.
o Basic project financial management experience.
o Technical experience with tasks from multiple functional teams.
o Five or more years of progressively responsible field experience; substantial relevant experience may substitute.
