Now Hiring Software Engineer Manager

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for planning and directing software engineering activities, ensuring that software projects, initiatives, and processes align with the organization's established policies and objectives. The Software Engineering Manager oversees the design, development, deployment, operation, application, and maintenance of software products and systems. This role requires familiarity with a wide range of software development concepts, practices, and procedures and relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals and complex tasks without direct supervision. The manager will perform a variety of tasks and lead and direct the work of others.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Combine strong technical expertise with effective people management skills.

- Lead teams in delivering multiple interdependent projects.

- Collaborate with your team and cross-functional partners to define and influence strategic direction.

- Participate in the creation and lead the

execution of project roadmaps.

- Engage with various functions to drive engineering initiatives and make a significant impact.

- Participate in technical design efforts.

- Ensure the maintenance of high coding standards and best practices within the team.

- Measure your team's impact and set clear expectations and goals.

- Partner with leadership to influence and drive organizational design, contribution, and prioritization.

Required Skills/Abilities:

- Extensive experience in software development and engineering management.

- Strong leadership and team management skills.

- Proficiency in C# and .NET, including equivalent frameworks.

- Experience with MVVM (Model-View-View Model) design patterns.

- Familiarity with best practices in software development, including coding standards, code reviews, and testing.

- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.

- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

- Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.

- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from peers, managers, and personnel from various departments within the organization.

- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

- Ability to gather and analyze information skillfully.

- Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.

- Ability to stand, walk, sit, use hands and arms, talk, and hear frequently while performing the duties of this job.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

- Directly supervises employees in the Software Engineering Group.

- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and Experience:

- BS or BA in Engineering or Business Management; Management Certificate or MBA preferred.

- 5+ years of direct management experience.
