The IT Systems Administrator is responsible for completing several key infrastructure functions and is under the general supervision of the Manager, Infrastructure. Responsibilities include overall maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems within the organization's scope. The IT Systems Administrator will proactively communicate and collaborate with members of HEALTHeLINK, third-party service providers, and key vendors to analyze all aspects of the environment. The position requires detail-oriented work both independently and as part of a team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Support and maintenance of internal Information Systems and their core components
Assist with the installation and upgrade of computer components and software, management of virtual servers, and integration of automation processes
Responsible for management of Microsoft 365 environment and implementing new features (e.g., Intune)
Responsible for the inventory, maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network servers, and virtualization
Responsible for the administration of Software as a Service platforms
Track and report on system activities and issues (e.g., patching, user provisioning, uptime, ticket management, etc.)
Assist with the design, management, improvement, and maintenance of the organization's databases
Assist with the monitoring of database growth and usage patterns to forecast future storage and performance requirements
Provide technical support and assistance to end users, as needed
Collaborate with HEALTHeLINK Security Team to assist with detection and remediation activities, including enhancing log monitoring capabilities
Assist with research, analysis, and implementation of technology tools, processes, and best practices
Review and document technical configurations of systems, applications, and devices
Participate in certification processes and audit inquiries
Develop and execute or coordinate completion of test scripts (e.g., disaster recovery, upgrades, etc.)
Collaborate with members of the HEALTHeLINK Team and third-party vendors as required
Maintain accurate documentation of system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps
Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices related to systems administration
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
Strong knowledge in administering Windows and Linux operating systems
Strong knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, and LAN/WAN.
Experience with Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 / Azure AD
Experience with deploying new products / product changes across an organization
Knowledge of scripting and automation tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, etc.)
Understanding of database management systems
Understanding of physical and cloud environments
Ability to think analytically and be a problem solver with strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability to consistently and reliably perform duties in a timely fashion
Self-starter requiring limited supervision for the planning and execution of daily duties and responsibilities
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Exhibits professional demeanor, interpersonal skills, and excellent customer service
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's Degree or higher preferred
2+ years of experience with IT Systems Administration or related field
