Cloud Infrastructure Engineering Manager
This role provides leadership in the day-to-day management, operational oversight, support, and technical expertise for the Enterprise Cloud infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a small team of Engineers who support SNC's application and business customers.
- Ensure timely delivery of project activities and provide guidance and direction to support teams and other IT areas within SNC.
- Participate directly in planning, managing, and implementing policies and procedures to ensure efficiency in job scheduling, capacity management, system performance, offsite replication, and maintenance.
Required Certifications
- AZ-900 - Azure Fundamentals
- AZ-104 - Azure Administrator
- AZ-500 - Azure Security Engineer (strong plus)
- Additional Microsoft-centric certifications are beneficial
Work Experience
- 5-10 years in information technology service/product management leadership.
- 2+ years in cloud and M365 delivery management, with a focus on M365 resource management, Microsoft Azure AD, securing cloud resources, and Conditional Access Policy management.
- Functional knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS segments of the Azure cloud infrastructure.
- Proven experience in mentoring and developing team resources to provide career development opportunities for direct reports.
- Strong experience in technical support and project delivery, working with stakeholders from business, development, and infrastructure teams.
- Experience with computer networks, including firewalls, routers, and load balancers.
- Experience in opening and resolving priority incidents with external vendors.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills for working effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Thorough understanding of how discrete infrastructure components integrate within an Enterprise environment.
- Experience with SCCM, SCOM, Cisco ASA, CommVault, or Palo Alto is a plus.
- Familiarity with Azure Stack HCI Clusters and Windows Admin Center is a plus.
