To help us drive excellence, you have the opportunity to:
  • Ensure products meet company and customer Quality standards.
  • Lead multi-disciplinary teams to address Quality issues and develop corrective actions,
  • Train and support Associates with Quality standards and methods of documentation.
  • Identify root cause and implement corrective actions for product quality issues.
  • Analyze SPC data for process improvement, corrective actions, and other activities.
  • Lead, develop, and implement best practices that emphasize defect prevention in a team environment.
  • Team with Plant Engineering to coordinate the PPAP for new programs, Engineering changes, and process improvements.
  • Train and support Associates with Quality standards and methods of documentation
  • This role is part of the Bluffton Quality Team and reports to the Plant Quality Manager.

SUCCESS FACTORS:
  • Bachelor's degree or 5+ years of Quality Engineer; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum 2+ years of experience as a Senior Quality Engineer and 3-5 years as Quality Engineer in an automotive manufacturing environment; prefer metal stamping automotive manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrate ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team to resolve Quality related issues and corrective actions.
  • Led FMEA, PPAP and other Quality standards and documentation meetings with the multi-disciplinary team.
  • Expertise in understanding Quality management systems, standards, and regulations.
  • Ability to train Associates on Quality procedures and documentation.
  • Ability to lead internal audits, layered process audits and corrective actions.
  • Proven leadership ability, excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Advanced proficiency with MSOffice, ERP and Quality Systems.
