Modern Hydrogen has an immediate opening for a highly qualified Mechanical Engineering Technician. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating Modern Hydrogen's cutting-edge equipment. You will work closely with a team of mechanical engineers and machinists.
This is an onsite role. The Mechanical Engineering Technician will be required to work onsite in our facility in Woodinville, WA 5 days per week and attend quarterly company events in the Seattle area. These events are geared towards fostering connections between colleagues, building a strong team, and having fun together.
Additionally, in this role you will be required to work variable hours, including evenings, weekends, and off-hours, to meet the organization's needs.

Responsibilities:
High precision assembling and qualifying prototype devices per engineering design/instructions
Troubleshooting and providing technical feedback on complex assemblies
Provide daily and weekly project updates
Identifying, analyzing, and implementing improvements to fabrication and assembly processes
Devising and implementing new quality control measures
Maintain and upkeep the inventory of the work cell
Supporting a variety of projects in a fast-paced, dynamic research environment
Occasional travel (up to 25%) to field operation sites for cross training and team support
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
3+ years of experience or commensurate training
Experience with various hand tools (e.g.: torque wrench, socket wrench, etc.) usage
Assembling, qualifying, and troubleshooting custom hardware
Interpreting engineering drawings and specifications
Working closely with both machinists and engineers and providing design feedback
Working in a research and development or an ambiguous environment
Impeccable organization, prioritization, time management, and planning skills and adherence to safety protocols
Highly self-motivated with good track record of independently making decisions and finding solutions to complex problems
Able to communicate technical information clearly and concisely, with proper documentation
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
Able to adapt to changing requirements quickly in a fast-paced environment
Consistent with applicable federal, state, and local laws, the ability to pass a drug and alcohol test based on customer site requirements
Bonus qualifications:
A.A. or B.S. in an Engineering or Science discipline
