The Engineer of Supplier Park (SP) & Supplier Quality Assurance (SQA) is a part of the Supplier Quality Management (SQM) group and is responsible for managing the strategically localized suppliers in the SP and greater Indiana area in support of the SQM group. Respective SP/SQA engineer will manage the responsible incoming materials related to quality and delivery of the materials and components from Supplier Park (SP) & Localized Suppliers. The SP/SQA Engineer must comply with supplier quality standards to meet all product and process requirements and manage and report supplier performance. The SP/SQA engineer will be responsible for quality checks, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) approval for new suppliers and on-going process audits for all suppliers. SP/SQA engineer is also responsible for detection, containment, root causing and resolving all supplier related issues, both quality and logistics (Supply Chain Management - SCM).
Also, the SP/SQA engineer will manage the continuous performance improvement and optimization of all suppliers of components and services and provide coaching and mentoring of the utilization of world-class problem-solving methodologies. Additional responsibilities will include but are not limited to the following:
Roles and Responsibilities
Monitor and manage strategic suppliers in the Supplier Park & Localized in Kokomo and greater Indiana area, including Greenfield Site Construction timing, Equipment Delivery, and Quality Planning to ensure timely production readiness
Monitor and manage day-to-day manufacturing operation in the Supplier Park & other sites, including quality and delivery of the production material (SCM)
Establish Key Process Indicators (KPI) for SQA activities, and conduct on-going process monitoring for all KPIs
Lead APQP, QPA (Quality Process Audit) and Production Part Approval Process of new suppliers
Lead improvement of supplier's performance
Document internal audits and other quality assurance activities
Investigate customer complaints and non-conformance issues
Review all supplier product specifications, inspection standards, and lesson learned activities
Prepare updates of Supplier Quality performance and activities
Provide management updates regularly
Work closely with key stakeholders to provide delivery according to schedule
Manage multiple priorities and deliver internal and external results on time
Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to clarify business and technical requirements for Supplier Quality performance
Must be able to travel up to 50% local travel (mostly within Indiana, and may require travel internationally for training)

Requirements
Minimum Job Requirements
Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent. (Bachelor's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Materials, Metallurgical, or Mechatronics may also be considered)
5 to 10 years of experience in supplier quality management, supplier quality engineering, or supplier quality assurance
Excellent organizational, written, and oral communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interface with various level of employees within all areas of the organization including hourly employees to Senior Leadership
Ability to build effective cross functional relationships internally and externally
Demonstrated technical problem-solving ability
Goal oriented self-starter with ability to lead teams
Ability to coach / mentor / develop SQA Engineers and IQC Inspectors
Must have a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Ability to work overtime as required
Preferred Job Requirements
Master's degree in Aerospace/Aeronautical, Chemical, Electrical, Materials, or Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics & Metallurgy
Extensive Quality and/or Logistics Experience
Bilingual English / Korean
Master's degree in Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing
Shainin Red X / Six Sigma Certification
Experience with the AIAG Advanced Quality Planning and Control Plans, FMEA, Production Part Approval Process, MSA, and SPC (Statistical Process Control)
Experience with quality certification and system such as ISO9001/IATF16949
Familiar with World Class Manufacturing pillar methodology and implementation
Extensive knowledge in Data Analytics utilizing MS Excel, MS Access or other database applications
Good working knowledge of Google Suite software programs
ASQ Certification in Quality and Reliability
Compensation
$80k to $105k
Salary within the posted range is commensurate with experience and qualifications.
