TGG Accounting has partnered with an aerospace engineering organization in the Los Angeles area seeking a Sr. Process/Application/Manufacturing Engineer to add to their established team.
Salary Range: $100K - $110K
Schedule: 5 days in office
Reports Relationship: Reporting to the Operations Manager
Job Summary:
The process / application engineer improves the productivity of the operations by reducing machining time and optimizing setup and changeover. The engineer will optimize tooling to reduce cost, increase capacity and improve quality. Work with the range of tooling suppliers to identify and test tooling. The engineer is responsible for minimizing the number of fixtures necessary by modifying them to be as universal as possible. The position will help operations develop and execute plans for operations improvements. This position is the interface between new product planning and manufacturing from order release through to making chips, assuring that the optimal cutting and work-holding tooling is available when it is required.
Education/Work Experience:
Minimum five years' experience in designing material removal and work holding tooling.
Deep knowledge of machining operations.
Proficiency with AUTOCAD (3D).
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Familiarity with gear machining operations.
Familiarity with lean processes.
