Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Tier 1 Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Ubiquiti devices, networking, and running cables. This role requires someone who is detail-oriented, has excellent problem-solving skills, and is passionate about providing exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide first-level technical support to clients, resolving issues related to networking, hardware, and software.
Install, configure, and maintain Ubiquiti networking devices.
Terminate and test CAT6 cables ensuring high-quality connections.
Assist in the setup and maintenance of network infrastructure, including switches, routers, and wireless access points.
Perform regular network monitoring and maintenance to ensure optimal performance and security.
Document all support activities, issues, and resolutions in the ticketing system.
Collaborate with the team to identify and implement improvements to our IT services.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a similar role within an IT services environment.
Proficiency with Ubiquiti devices and software.
Solid understanding of networking principles and protocols.
Experience in terminating CAT6 cables and troubleshooting connectivity issues.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to handle client interactions professionally.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Ubiquiti certifications) are a plus.
