Position Responsibilities:
As a Senior Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in managing and overseeing the daily operations of our accounting department. Your key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Managing and overseeing accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, inventory/costing, and general ledger functions.
Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and analysis, including monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Preparing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections, and providing recommendations to senior management.
Monitoring and managing cash flow to ensure sufficient funds are available for operational and capital expenditure needs.
Overseeing tax compliance and ensuring all tax returns are filed accurately and on time.
Developing and maintaining financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
Analyzing financial data and providing strategic financial advice to senior management to support business decisions.
Conducting analysis of the General Ledger, performing Journal Entry bookings, and ensuring maintenance of accurate and up-to-date account schedules.
Qualifications:
Experience in the Produce, Food, Manufacturing, and/or Wholesale industries is preferred.
A minimum of 3 years in a managerial accounting role.
