GENERAL DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
Propose technology concepts that lead to higher efficiencies, improved reliability of HVAC systems, and customer comfort.
Develop algorithms that utilize data from fielded and lab HVAC systems to enhance efficiency, reliability, and/or comfort.
Leverage fundamental understanding of concepts in thermodynamics and heat transfer to develop high-efficiency cold-climate heat pumps to decarbonize HVAC.
Perform simulations, conduct experiments, and analyze test results to develop products for application in the residential, commercial, and refrigeration segments.
Analyze and translate experimental test data to improve simulation models.
Plan, conduct, and technically direct projects or the major phases of significant projects.
Supervise & coordinate the work of technicians and lower-level employees.
Mature technologies to readiness for transfer into the New Product Development Cycle for Lennox.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Masters or Ph.D. in mechanical engineering or related discipline with a focus on heat transfer and fluids.
Demonstrated experience in the development of cutting-edge HVAC systems, including analysis, system design, and performance validation.
Detailed understanding of Two-Phase Flow Heat transfer and pressure drop.
Experience with programming languages such as C and Python is preferred.
Working knowledge of CFD and/or FEA tools is preferred.
Understanding of HVAC systems is preferred.
Data analysis tools such as MSSQL, MATLAB, Python, Tableau, Qlik and MS Excel.
