TGC Search is partnered with a top Medical Device Manufacturing Company in the Franklin WI area looking to add a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer to the team and provide critical technical support, improve processes, and mentor the production staff.
Role Overview: As a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will be the go-to technical expert supporting our manufacturing operations. Your primary responsibilities will include enhancing existing processes, developing new and cost-effective manufacturing methods, and resolving technical issues related to materials, molds, tooling, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process Improvement and Innovation:
Develop and implement efficient manufacturing concepts, driving initiatives to reduce scrap and increase value.
Utilize lean methodologies to lead teams in continuous improvement projects.
Technical Support and Development:
Provide hands-on technical assistance on the manufacturing floor, covering extrusion, molding, assembly, and packaging.
Mentor production operators and process technicians, fostering a problem-solving culture.
Troubleshooting and Problem Resolution:
Apply systematic troubleshooting and root cause analysis to resolve issues with processes, materials, molds, tooling, and equipment.
Implement irreversible corrective actions to prevent the recurrence of problems.
Project Management and Launch Support:
Participate in FMEA, PFD, design reviews, Kaizen events, and other cross-functional team activities to support flawless product launches.
Execute validation and qualification protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for new products, equipment, tooling, and processes, ensuring compliance with SOPs.
Documentation and Compliance:
Document lessons learned and maintain up-to-date process documentation, including ECOs, work instructions, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
Ensure timely completion of CAPAs and project milestones using project management tools.
Follow SOPs and work instructions relevant to your specific area of responsibility.
Comply with EH&S procedures for hazardous waste management.
Collaboration and Communication:
Work closely with Advanced Manufacturing Engineers to develop processes that meet cost, quality, and delivery goals for new product development.
Communicate project statuses and document findings in a timely and clear manner.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Biomedical, or Chemical Engineering (preferred) from an accredited university.
Experience: At least 2 years in a manufacturing environment, preferably within an FDA-regulated industry such as medical devices.
Skills: Proficiency in root cause analysis, Six Sigma (Green or Black Belt preferred), and Lean Manufacturing techniques.
Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse teams.
