KELTEK has an immediate opportunity for an experienced and self-motivated Outside Account Executive with a proven track record in sales!

As an Outside Account Executive, you will be responsible for managing and growing your assigned territory by developing new prospects and maintaining contact with established customers, addressing customer concerns, and presenting our products, services, and solutions and providing solutions. Keltek offers our Account Executives a company-provided vehicle to ensure convenient travel to client meetings and appointments.

Located in Baxter, IA, KELTEK is a small, fast-growing, profitable reseller/installer of mobile computing solutions, computers, vehicle warning lights, radios, K-9 & prisoner transport units, and on-scene emergency lighting. KELTEK offers more than 25 years of experience in sales, installation, service and support of police vehicle equipment, with safety being our number one priority.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Develop and execute an effective territory plan in collaboration with the sales team
Expand and maintain database of prospective customers through lead generation
Capture, maintain, and oversee accurate contact information within CRM software
Qualify prospective customers quickly by fact-finding to determine decision-makers, competition, budget, timeline, and other potential hurdles
Identify industry and product trends and position our solutions as the obvious choice
Take orders from customers and input orders into supply chain software (ERP)
Function as a point of contact for customers
Regularly conduct customer site visits (to include sales presentations, quote review, and fleet audits)
Resolve escalated customer problems and complaints in an amicable and timely manner
Demonstrate technical knowledge and product functionality accurately and completely to customers
Participate on behalf of the company at exhibitions, tradeshows, and conferences
Develop strong, long-term vendor relationships
Other duties as needed or required


Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required, and industry or product knowledge preferred; At least 2 years of outside sales experience preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience; Proven track record in sales; Motivated self-starter; Exceptional negotiating, interpersonal, presentation, persuasion, and communication skills; Strong computer skills including Microsoft, the internet, and CRM software; Travel required (occasional overnight or weekend with advance notice); Current driver's license and valid auto insurance
