Location: Elmira, NY
Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $125,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
Our client is a dynamic and growing company located in NY state seeking a highly qualified and motivated individual to join our team as a Controller.
As a key member of our finance department, the Controller will play a crucial role in managing financial activities and providing strategic insights for the organization.
This job will have the following responsibilities:
Oversee and manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company.
Maintain the General Ledger
Oversee the team responsible for AP/AR activities
Ensure Sarbanes-Oxley compliance
Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Collaborate with other departments to provide financial analysis and support for decision-making.
Manage the month-end and year-end close processes.
Supervise and mentor finance team members.
Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Play a key role in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures.
Assist in the preparation for external audits and liaise with auditors.
Qualifications & Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
CPA designation is highly desirable.
Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
Strong background in financial management, reporting, and analysis.
Experience in manufacturing with start up experience preferred but not required.
Proven track record of implementing and improving financial processes and controls.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work onsite.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
