Salary: $100,000.00 USD Annually - $200,000.00 USD Annually
Description:
We are seeking a Director of Risk Management focusing on safeguarding the organization's
financial health, operational organization and structure through expertise in risk management,
insurance compliance and management of insurance policies. In this critical role, you will be
responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive approach to
identifying, assessing, mitigating, and monitoring risks across various domains that relate to the
company's assets and operations. You will work closely with senior leadership and ownership
across the organization to ensure the organization is prepared and protected in all aspects in the
ever changing market condition.
Responsibilities
• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive risk management program aligned
with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Identify, assess, prioritize, and quantify potential risks across the organization, including
operational, financial, legal, strategic, compliance, and reputational risks.
• Design and implement risk mitigation strategies to minimize the impact of potential
losses.
• Oversee risk financing activities, including insurance procurement, claims administration,
and loss control programs.
• Stay up-to-date on emerging risks and industry trends, and adapt risk management
strategies accordingly.
• Foster a culture of risk awareness within the organization by providing training and
education to employees at all levels.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits of company operations and structure to
ensure the effectiveness of risk management controls.
• Communicate risk information clearly and concisely to senior management and
ownership.
• Develop and manage the risk management department budget.
• Manage a team of risk management professionals and ensure their professional
development.
• Represent the company at various insurance captive organization/board meetings
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or higher education degree preferred but not required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in risk management, with a proven track record of
success in developing and implementing risk management programs.
• Certified in Risk Management (CRM, FRM, or equivalent) is a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite
• Financial accounting and legal expertise is not required but would be highly helpful in
this role
