Job Description:

Ultimate Staffing is hiring for our client, an aviation company in the Fort Lauderdale area. They are a dynamic and rapidly growing organization serving clients worldwide. They are actively seeking for an Accounting Assistant.


The Accounting Assistant is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date accounts receivable and accounts payable records. This role requires a high level of accuracy, the ability to multitask, and excellent organizational and time management skills. The Accounting Assistant also provides administrative support to the accounts manager.



Responsibilities:



• Provide accounting and clerical support to the accounting department.


• Accurately type, prepare, and maintain accounting documents and records.


• Prepare bank deposits, general ledger postings, and statements.


• Reconcile accounts promptly and accurately.


• Reconcile invoices and identify discrepancies.


• Perform basic office tasks such as filing, data entry, and mail processing.



Requirements and Skills:



• Proven experience as an Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable Clerk.


• Familiarity with bookkeeping and basic accounting procedures.


• Competency in Sage accounting software is preferred.


• Proficient in using spreadsheets.


• Strong accuracy and attention to detail.


• Aptitude for numbers and data entry.


• Well-organized with strong communication skills, both verbal and written.


• Integrity and confidentiality are essential.



Education:



• High school diploma required. An associate's degree or relevant certification is a plus


• Minimum of 2 years of accounting job experience.
