Position: Senior Software Engineer



Job Location: 850 Cherry Ave, San Bruno, CA 94066



Duties: Works on design and development of data pipelines for supply chain which help in generating accurate metrics for business such as demand forecast, inventory etc. Closely work with business to understand the requirements of different business features, come up with technical specification, propose design and development of pipeline. Work with a of group of engineers including offshore associates by providing relevant technical direction. Build and maintain infrastructure required for pipelines. Assemble and analyze large and complex datasets and share business critical metrics with stakeholders. Create data validation processes for data sanity. Design improvements in infrastructure for scalability and availability. Develop adhoc reports to share insights with business. Work with stakeholders for data related technical issues. Identify and implement automation and performance improvements in application. Review proposed technical solutions, new architecture and code changes. Work with data science team to design and implement ML pipelines and models at scale.



Minimum education and experience required: Bachelor's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 5 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment; OR Master's degree or the equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field and 2 years of experience in large scale enterprise software development environment.



Skills required: Experience designing highly available and scalable system architecture with cloud stack including GCP and Azure. Experience in different cloud components including BigQuery, Dataproc, Azure Databricks, AKS, Azure keyvault, and AzSQL. Experience in cloud components including elastic compute cloud, S3, SNS, SQS, and Kinesis. Experience setting up application infrastructure for distributed job orchestration and developing high volume data pipelines in Apache Airflow, Apache Spark, Java, Scala, Python, HDFS, Hive and UNIX crontab. Experience setting up application infrastructure using Kubernetes, helm, bash, powershell, and docker. Experience designing data models for relational DBMS including MYSQL, MSSQL, PostGreSQL and NoSQL databases including ElasticSearch. Experience in designing data models for MySQL and Cassandra. Experience creating CI/CD pipelines in Jenkins and public cloud components. Experience in developing regression testing framework for application. Experience migrating applications from systems including Informatica, Mainframe, and Teradata to bigdata stack. Experience working with IDE including IntelliJ/Eclipse and unix based editors including vi/vim. Experience using GIT and SVN for software version control. Experience developing streaming systems using Apache Kafka. Experience developing automation scripts using UNIX or python and monitoring dashboards using tools including tableau. Employer will accept any amount of experience with the required skills.



Salary Range: $215,197/year to $286,000/year. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location) and Stock equity incentives.
