Maintenance Supervisor at PPG INDUSTRIES INC in Rock Hill, South Carolina

Job Description:

As the Maintenance Supervisor you will provide leadership and ensure communication within the team. You will focus on developing a safe environment that produces high-quality support and maintenance services. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Manager you will ensure practices are followed to operational standards and goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate open communication channels to encourage feedback and discussion.


• Offer leadership and development to all team members.


• Evaluate technicians' performance and provide constructive feedback.


• Issue and review work permits to ensure safety and compliance.


• Review and verify Work Orders and shift documentation for accuracy and completeness.


• Ensure adherence to all procedures related to safety, quality, regulatory, and human resources.


• Oversee that maintenance work is completed correctly and promptly.


• Organize workflow and ensure that technicians understand their tasks or delegated tasks.


• Identify and remove barriers to optimize team performance.


• Understand asset reliability, work processes, and asset maintenance to enhance operational efficiency.
  
  

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience as a Maintenance Supervisor or in a similar role.


• In-depth knowledge of maintenance practices.


• Review and understand work permits and work orders.


• Familiarity with safety, quality, and regulatory compliance procedures.


• Associate's degree in a related field.


• Technical certification or training in maintenance or a related discipline.
