Job Description:

Are you someone with a passion for production management? PPG Aerospace is looking for an experienced and dynamic Production Supervisor to join our Valencia, California team. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, this on-site role is crucial in planning and establishing production schedules to meet our customer demands. Key Responsibilities

• Meet production schedules to ensure alignment with customer demands and sales forecasts


• Develop production schedules considering plant and employee capacity, as well as new business opportunities


• Participate in implementing strategies and policies to improve daily and long-term operations


• Oversee daily production operations and quality standards are met


• Lead and manage a team, providing guidance and support to achieve production targets


• Address performance issues through coaching, mentoring, or disciplinary action as needed


• Monitor production processes to ensure quality standards are adhered to


• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safety within the team


• Identify areas for improvement and process enhancements utilizing lean methodology

Qualifications

• Two (2) years minimum of supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or related role required


• Previous experience with lean methodology, process improvement, and 5S preferred


• Must be able to effectively read, write, and communicate in English


• Proficiency in Spanish preferred


• Aerospace production and manufacturing experience preferred


• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required, bachelor's degree in a related field preferred


• Must be a U.S. Citizen

Salary Range: $70,000 to $87,000 Depending on experience
