Facilities Representative - Distribution Center




Location: Chino, CA, USA - 16043 El Prado Road




Shift: Monday to Friday, 10am -6:30pm. Note: OT mandatory if required. Shift subject to change based on needs of the business. Emergencies in the building may cause slight shift changes or overtime.



FT/permanent - eligible for benefits and an annual bonus




Job Summary:



Our Chino, CA Distribution Center is seeking a dynamic and motivated Facilities Representative (Helper) to join its team. This is a chance to work for a company that has the rare mix of being a fun, yet high-paced and professional work environment.



Key Responsibilities:



Assist the Maintenance/Facility team with:

• Maintenance, modification, troubleshooting, and repair of a wide variety of systems in a distribution center environment.
  
  


• Performing maintenance duties such as planned preventative maintenance of facility and facilities equipment, maintenance of office equipment and furnishings, basic electrical projects, spot painting or cleaning, light construction, or exterior clean-up.
  
  


• Utilize existing experience in all phases of facility maintenance
  
  


• Communicating with and maintaining effective relationships with vendors and team members.
  
  


• Assisting with general building and office maintenance.
  
  


• Providing support to facility and distribution team
  
  


• Other tasks as assigned.
  
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Typically requires 1 year of related experience.
  
  

Critical Skills/Qualifications:

• 1 year of experience in a similar role
  
  


• Knowledge and safe usage of various types of equipment in maintenance/facility trade (hand tools, power tools, conveyors, forklifts, pressure gauges, voltmeters, etc.)
  
  


• Excellent English verbal and written communication skills with the ability to follow instructions
  
  


• Exposure to safe work practices as it pertains to facilities work
  
  


• Ability to cover for and/or support other technicians when required
  
  


• Ability to work with hands, problem solve, and provide solutions
  
  


• Desire to learn and grow within position and be open to coaching and feedback
  
  

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

• Generalist mechanical/facility experience in various warehouse and/or other work environments is strongly preferred
  
  


• Proficiency with MS Office and data entry with the ability to learn McKesson platforms and software
  
  


• 6+ months of experience utilizing Power Industrial Equipment as needed and maintain appropriate certifications. (i.e., cherry picker, reach truck, dock stocker and a powered pallet jack.) (Location willing to train)
  
  


• Ability to communicate under normal conditions as well as during times of high-pressure situations
  
  


• Dependable team player with a positive attitude
  
  


• Must be self-motivated and work without direct supervision with the desire to participate as a member of a multi-functional team
  
  


• Strong organization and attention to detail
  
  

Physical Requirements

• Must be comfortable working at heights
  
  


• May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
  
  


• May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
  
  


• May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  
  


• Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
  
  


• May need to lift up to 100 pounds on occasion.
  
  


• May need to work in refrigerated areas
  
  


• Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  
  


• Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
  
  


• Must be willing to work various hours in a 24/7 operational.
  
  


• Includes standing, sitting, walking, general labor, ladder, scissor lift & fork truck use, climbing up to (4) story heights in a warehouse environment.
  
  


• Must be able to carry and operate a laptop & handheld device.

Our Base Pay Range for this position



$21.06 - $35.10
