As a water tank inspector, you’ll pilot, tend, maintain, and repair the remote operating vehicle system used to inspect potable water tanks for municipalities. You’ll assist in implementing and monitoring technical procedures for operating the vehicles. You`ll travel throughout the state and occasionally across the country. The water tank inspector reports to the inspection team leader.
Responsibilities
• Assist in the launch and recovery of the remote operating vehicle.• Pilot remote operated vehicle and narrate video to capture applicable images of underwater assets.• Ensure all systems are in working order and compliant with requirements for the jobsite.• Consult and discuss scope of work with client partners before performing inspections.• Provide topside support for applicable projects.
Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent.• Must have a valid driver's license with a good driving record.• Possess a valid passport and transportation worker identification credential (TWIC) card.• Proficiency with computers, tablets, and Microsoft Office.• This field job primarily operates in outdoor work environments that may include exposure to inclement weather, heat, humidity, noise, hazard, atmospheric conditions, and bodies of water, depending on project requirements.• While performing the duties of this job, physical demands of the employee may include frequent talking, hearing, standing, moving, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching, handling, grasping, feeling, balancing, coordination, and occasional sitting or operating a company vehicle. This job may require lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
