Your Next Mission

Are you a military service member or veteran with a deep commitment to service, teamwork, and excellence? Enerpac Tool Group is on the lookout for individuals like you to join our elite team as a Sr. HSSE Specialist. In this critical role, you'll leverage your military experience and make a significant impact on the lives of our employees. You'll lead our HSSE programs, advise leaders, and drive injury & illness prevention programs for our facilities, all while upholding our core values of safety and excellence.

Shift: Monday - Friday, occasional evenings and weekends may be required for off shift meetings with employees.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Drive HSSE Culture that prevents injuries, illness, and damage from occurring by:


  • Drive HSSE Culture: Promote safety & environmental awareness within the US manufacturing & corporate teams. Develop and implement companywide HSSE initiatives.

  • Training: Train new employees on safety, environmental, and security issues. Administer the training management system and training matrices.

  • Risk Assessment: Ensure tasks are furnished with suitable and sufficient hazard/risk assessments, documented, and communicated.

  • HSSE Plans: Develop and execute site-specific HSSE plans, including Key Performance Indicator scorecards.

  • Management Systems: Develop and improve policies, procedures, and work instructions to reflect changing operational circumstances, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.

  • Incident Management: Lead and participate in incident learning teams, facilitating root cause analysis, and drafting lessons learned reports.

  • Communication: Facilitate communication through site and regional HSSE forums/meetings. Drive consultation and participation through an active Safety Committee at each site.

  • Compliance: Assist with drafting compliance reports, including OSHA, EPA, and DNR documentation. Maintain and implement a robust Internal Assurance Audit Program.

  • Continuous Improvement: Take an active role in HSSE Management Reviews. Perform security assessments and administrative maintenance of the Qualityze Data Management System.

  • Site Inspections: Conduct regular site walks and support Senior Management with planned Site Inspections.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS


  • Intermediate computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Strong communication and reasoning skills.

  • Ability to execute multiple tasks to deadlines.

  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

  • Independent decision-making and problem-solving abilities.

  • Team player in a high-paced corporate environment.

  • Good knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulations.

  • Understanding of lean tools (error proofing, 5S, takt time, Kanban, standard work).

  • Passion for health, safety, security, and the environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience obtained through your military service.

  • 3 years of experience as a safety professional.

  • Preferred experience in manufacturing and/or service environments, including nuclear, power generation, oil and gas, and tool rental facilities.


PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Ability to lift documents/work materials up to 30 pounds.

  • Ability to walk/climb to various primary work locations.

  • Ability to travel by air/auto to remote sites.

  • Ability to work in front of a computer and telephone for long periods.

  • Flexibility to travel domestically around 10% of the time.

  • Work in temperature-controlled office settings and manufacturing facilities. Follow appropriate safety protocols, including the use of respiratory protective equipment, hearing protection, and fall protection.
