Position Summary:


Moraine Park Technical College is seeking an Adult Education Support Representative for our West Bend Campus.  This position will provide administrative and technical support to the Adult Education program, including maintaining student data, records, and reports.


 


The successful candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent and two years of related experience, including record-keeping/reporting responsibilities.  This position is partially (15%) grant funded through the Adult Education Comprehensive grant.

Responsibilities:


· Process and register students in AE/English Language Learning (ELL)/ and assist them with the completion of required paperwork. Prepare materials for Student Success Center registration and GED/HSED orientations. Assist students and instructors with computer technology used in the classroom.


· Enter all client reporting data and monitor reporting data for errors, ensuring that data is error free for monthly, quarterly, and annual file submission to the WTCS Office.


· Monitor student records and attendance data and inform instructors of Client Reporting discrepancies in order to meet state requirements. Run reports to assist instructors in grading and grant activity closeout. Assist full and part-time instructors with following the departmental requirements including student enrollment, attendance, and client reporting.


· Respond to internal and external inquiries to share information and make referrals regarding Adult Education programming. Have an active role in the recruitment of students for the Adult Education department programming by cultivating and maintaining relationships with community organizations and referral sources. Manage and update databases with program partners and external stakeholders.


· Plan, implement, and facilitate Adult Education recruitment events and marketing efforts in the MPTC district.


· Process registration forms from Department of Corrections locations and other offsite locations as directed. Provide programming support to partner entities to in the areas of student enrollment, attendance, and client reporting.


 



Experience & Qualifications:


 


· Knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office 365 (Office Suite, MS Teams, SharePoint, etc.).


· Excellent written and verbal communication skills to communicate clearly and effectively with end users, colleagues, and management to provide a complete and timely explanation of issues and decisions to ensure customer satisfaction.


· Ability to take initiative, work independently with little supervision and make sound decisions with minimal direction.


· Strong organizational and time management skills, including the ability to prioritize special projects with routine assignments.


· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers. Ability to collaborate and work effectively as part of a team.


 


 



Hiring Range: $20.28-$23.86 (Pending board approval)



Starting: Immediately



Workplace Flexibility: Limited work from home upon approval



Hours/Schedule/Travel: Occasional Travel, Academic: Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., Summer: Monday - Thursday, 7:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
