We are seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Law Clerk / Motion Writer to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role as a law clerk in supporting our attorneys by drafting motions, conducting legal research, and preparing various legal documents. This law clerk position requires exceptional writing skills, a strong understanding of legal principles, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.


Candidates taking the bar in February are preferred!



Responsibilities:




  • Legal Research: Conduct thorough and comprehensive legal research to support case preparation and strategy.


  • Drafting Motions/Oppositions: Prepare and draft various types of motions and oppositions, including but not limited to Discovery motions/oppositions, summary judgment motions/oppositions, and procedural motions.


  • Document Preparation: Assist in the preparation of legal documents such as briefs, pleadings, and memoranda.


  • Appeals: Appeal work is a plus.


Qualifications:




  • Education: A Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school or currently enrolled in an accredited law school.


  • Experience: Previous experience as a law clerk or in a legal writing role is preferred.


  • Skills:


    • Exceptional legal writing and research skills.

    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

    • Proficiency in legal research databases (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis).

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Extensive writing and research skills

  • Knowledge regarding MSJs, Motions, Memos, Appeals, Complaints etc.

  • Someone with quality experience 5+ years and open to a 1-3-month temp to hire





    • Practice Area: Personal Injury, Premise Liability, Product Liability


    • Hiring Manager/team supporting: All attorneys
