Job Description:

The Payroll Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll, maintaining payroll records, and addressing any payroll-related issues. This role requires strong analytical skills, knowledge of payroll regulations, and excellent communication abilities.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Prepare and process bi-weekly, semi-monthly, or monthly payrolls for employees.

  • Ensure accurate calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.

  • Verify and enter payroll data, including new hires, terminations, and changes to pay rates.

  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations.

  • Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files.

  • Prepare and file payroll tax returns and other regulatory reports as required.

  • Address and resolve payroll-related inquiries and issues from employees and management.

  • Investigate and correct payroll discrepancies and errors.

  • Generate and distribute payroll reports, including earnings, deductions, and leave balances.

  • Assist with payroll audits and provide necessary documentation.

  • Maintain and update payroll systems and software.

Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in payroll processing or related field.

  • Strong understanding of payroll principles and practices.

  • Proficiency in payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paychex) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.

  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
