JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Brakes Repair Technician II provides repair or overhaul of pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical equipment.

• Maintain a safe, clean and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with company's rules and policies.
• Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules, guidelines and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.
• Must understand and comply with applicable standards. ( i.e.: ISO 9001, ISO 22163, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001, AAR, and CMMI).
• Maintain and safeguard business records. Additional Essential Functions: Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
1. Troubleshoot pneumatic, mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical problems.
2. Disassemble equipment and clean as needed.
3. Perform initial evaluation and inspection of equipment as assigned. Provide feedback as to what parts & labor are needed for repair.
4. Document evaluation findings and generate a Technician Evaluation Report.
5. Routing of wires and installing crimp terminations and/or connectors.
6. Test and record results for sub-assemblies and assemblies.
7. Perform component level and some system level testing as instructed.
8. Interpret readings of gages, indicators, and dials.
9. Assist in testing equipment and recording test results.
10. Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and calibration on equipment as instructed.
11. Provide support and assistance to other technicians and team members, as directed, and any other duties as assigned by the Cell Leader or Sr. Personnel.
12. Maintain a safe, clean, and healthy environment and ensure the compliance with the company's rules and policies.
13. Must be able to comply with quality, product safety, and HSE rules and regulations. Be energy conscious, if applicable.

Technical Competencies:
1. Technical Capacity: controls and instrumentation, ability to read and understand drawings and bills of material (BOM)
2. Mechanical Aptitude: equipment maintenance, mechanical inspection tools and tooling
3. Time Management to ensure equipment is ready for scheduled repair or overhaul
4. Strong Problem Solving, Troubleshooting, and Decision Making (in making job decisions, the incumbent is guided by policy, routine and procedures)
5. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel & Word (data entry and report writing)
6. Verbal & written communication (customer interface as it relates to warranty and overhaul issues)

Required Education:

High School Diploma/GED

Required Experience:

3-5 Years Relevant Experience

Physical Demands:

Sitting, Standing, Walking, Alternate sitting or Standing at Will, Crouching, Kneeling, Lifting or Carrying maximum 50 LBS.
