SUMMARY



Hospital professional will be responsible for the comprehensive servicing of GH patients with a focus on the critical aspects of patient registration including making an empathetic first impression, soliciting personal health information, answering sensitive patient questions/concerns, insurance verification, co-payments scheduling and pre access for the entire hospital. Individual will also share work in the hospitals telephone switchboard.

Gouverneur Hospital is certified for 25 beds and services include inpatient detox, substance use disorder rehabilitation, emergency care, imaging and EKG's, physical therapy, and respiratory therapy.

SCHEDULE: 8 hour, Variable




ATTRIBUTES

• Required: High School or GED. Ability to accurately type and enter data into an electronic medical record
  
  


• Preferred: Advanced technical training. Advanced degree above high school.
  
  

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Registration for all areas of hospital Insurance verification, errors, and co pays and account payments, financial counseling.
  
  


• Switchboard coverage, alarm activations, paging and answering service
  
  


• Scheduling, authorization verification, pre insurance, accuracy, errors and co-pay collections in pre access area.
  
  


• Provide excellent customer service to our patients and visitors
  
  


• Meets and abides by GH Mission, Vision & Values
  
  


• Other duties as deemed necessary
  
  

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: S - Sedentary Work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and all other sedentary criteria are met.



PAY RANGE: $17.17 - $21.84

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
