Title: Application Support Engineer
*PROJECT OVERVIEW*
9am-5pm ET, on call until 9pm ET
Client Institutional Technology requires an Application Support Engineer for the Production Excellence squad. The team builds and modernizes applications to support domestic and international lending. The squad member will work on production stability initiatives, disaster recovery, and monitoring of distributed applications.
Provide production support, engaging squads to address issues. Provide production monitoring data to Chapter Area Lead, Product Owners and Chapter Leads to assess stability and performance. Deliver quality technology solutions to sophisticated business issues in an agile environment. Collaborate with internal and external product teams to deliver a cohesive solution.
Ex: Taking IP addresses and sending to a team to whitelist them
*REQUIRED SKILLS*
***Must be currently serving as Production Support or Application Support Engineers. I will review your best 2 profiles for this role.***
1) Providing L1 support - identify production issues, assess root causes, aptly work with L2 contacts to address issues which need additional support, appropriately communicate timely status updates to Product Owners and Account Managers on behalf of Technology. Track all issues in Jira and Production impacting issues in Service Now.
2) Linux and Windows OS Scripting
3) SQL
4) Some Java (can read code - not a developer)
5) Willingness to support and develop PowerBI Dashboards for Production Support Monitoring
Candidate will be super proactive, engaged, and have very strong communication skills with a proven track record of Production Support experience.
*NICE TO HAVE*
PowerBI, ServiceNow, Financial Services experience preferred, SQL loader, Messaging (MQ), Angular, Business Objects Reporting, and Tableau, Grafana
