Role Overview: As our team expands, we're actively searching for a Controller. This individual will have a pivotal role in steering our organization, offering insights into current performance, and charting a course to surpass future objectives. Reporting directly to our CEO, the Controller collaborates with leadership to ensure timely and precise financial reporting, crucial for informed decision-making. We seek a candidate with an enterprising mindset, eager to advance their career within our exceptional organization.


Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and insights to achieve key performance metrics, emphasizing cost reduction and operational efficiency.


• Manage day-to-day finance and GAAP accounting tasks, incorporating automation where feasible (including billing and monthly customer invoicing).


• Provide robust financial GAAP reports to the CEO, board of directors, and lender.


• Lead the budgeting and financial forecasting process.


• Ensure compliance with legal, tax, and bank covenant requirements.


• Assist the commercial side of the business by handling pricing and quotations for proposals.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance (required).


• CMA, CPA, and/or MBA (preferred).


• Six or more years of accounting and finance experience, including management roles.


• Strong understanding of laboratory operations.


• Proactive self-starter with excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.


• Practical systems knowledge (Excel and QuickBooks preferred).


• Demonstrated abilities in project management and change management.


• Experience with clinical trial billing cycles is a plus


• Experience supporting M&A process by developing financial models is a plus
