Job Description:

Our Oxford plant has an outstanding opportunity for a passionate individual to assume the role of Buyer / Supply Chain Planner.

What will you do?
Scheduler :
• Develop production plan based on production line capacity and customer priority.
• Monitor and ensure production executes according to plan.
• Analyze issues of production not being able to execute according to plan and communicate the issue to the right function for resolution.
• Analyze material allocation within production and Distribution Center demand and request for re-allocation if necessary, to maximize production output.
• Identify critical material shortages and collaborate with Replenishment team, Transport team and Warehouse Inbound team to discuss solutions.
• Communicate with customers based on their expectations and delivery schedule. This may include request for expediting delivery dates, modification, or cancellation of order.
• Communicate customer special requirements to production team.
• Prepare status and performance reports.
• Track late delivery to internal customers and backlog activity
Buyer
• Ensure continuous flow of incoming raw material, components, and sub-assemblies.
• Manage supplier contacts and networks through the purchasing database (Supply Side Platform Portal)
• Manage the replenishment backlog (creation and rescheduling of purchase orders)
• Coordinate Open Purchase Order Management and/or Order scheduling.
• Manage the upstream backorder portfolio, component shortages, and micromanage to insure the availability of material
• Monitor and improve the supplier's performance through established KPIs. Work with suppliers on late orders, confirmation details, etc.
• Take daily action regarding material requirements planning (MRP) messages & escalate when issues are repeated
• Actively participate in continuous improvement and short interval management (SIM)

What qualifications will make you successful?
• Bachelor's Degree preferred, not required. Equivalent experience and skills can be substituted for education
• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing setting
• Inventory control process knowledge in: SAP, KANBAN, MRP, OFO etc.
• Functional knowledge of Material Management Computer System - MRP
• Proficient with using computers and advanced knowledge with applications (access, excel)
• Effective communication, facilitation, and strong negotiation skills
• Problem-solving skills
• Ability to plan and organize effectively and has strong decision-making skills
