Position Overview:
This position identifies and leads new program development opportunities and provides program strategy recommendations to generate new business. The incumbent drives the development of client relationships by providing creative, valuable solutions and expertise to problems or by cross-selling services to new or existing clients. Manages and reports on key performance metrics to drive program and sales strategy for New Markets. This position offers a hybrid work option (up to 50% remote), and is open to any Compeer office location in Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin.


Essential Functions:


  • Collaborates with appropriate teams to design, deploy, and sustain, new credit, financial service, and value-added program delivery systems, creating seamless experiences for client, team member and external partners.

  • Implements strategic initiatives to target the generation of business insights and strategy, and translate findings into actionable recommendations and improvements.

  • Identifies, leads and supports new program opportunities by researching, analyzing and making recommendations on program strategies.

  • Collaborates with New Markets leadership to identify, develop, implement and execute sales programs strategies, tactics and new product and service offering concepts and opportunities across a broad spectrum of agricultural and rural markets to generate new business.



Minimum Qualifications & Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, economics, agribusiness or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to perform the essential functions of the job.

  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in launching new products in a financial institution, preferred.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in sales and marketing.

  • Knowledge of federal and state (Illinois, Minnesota, and Wisconsin) laws, regulations and compliance requirements specific to the financial industry and Farm Credit.

  • Advanced understanding of federal, state and local governmental programs regarding energy, suitability, carbon, climate change, food and renewable energy.

  • Advanced understanding of financial markets, complex lending transactions, and strategic selling skills.

  • Strong marketing skills and the ability to lead sales closings.

  • Business development, organizational, negotiation, credit, presentation, marketing, and sales skills.

  • Ability to remain objective in balancing business needs and risk.

  • Advanced reporting software and database skills.

  • Advanced experience in process improvement and project management.

  • Prior experience writing Standard Operating Procedures and policy.

  • Strong listening, written and verbal communication skills, with ability to communicate at all levels of the organization.

  • Skill in developing and maintaining interpersonal relationships.

  • High level of integrity.

  • Strong problem solving, decision making and organizational skills.

  • High degree of accuracy and accountability.

  • Advanced computer skills, including MS Office applications and customer relationship management (CRM) programs.

  • Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.

  • Advanced knowledge of accounting principles, both at the organization level and client level.

  • Solid knowledge of economic and risk management.

  • Flexible and adaptable to changing situations.

  • Ability to remain objective in balancing business needs and risk.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other teams to achieve goals and represent the business.

  • Valid driver's license.
