Description:

Short & Sweet: Performs a wide variety of CAD work for production facilities and general offices including equipment, building, and piping layouts and schematics to assist Allendale Plant Engineering staff as needed.

Schedule: 1st Shift, Monday through Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM)

*No weekend's or holiday's required

Job Description:

1. Performs design and AutoCad work for potential or new projects by gathering information on objectives; traveling to field locations as needed to measure space, existing equipment, etc., and developing alternative CAD drawings, calculations, and preliminary costs for review by technical services and plant personnel.

2. Assist in modifying equipment or building design by working from broad concepts and filling in details necessary for actual implementation.

3. Coordinates with suppliers of equipment once projects are assigned to resolve questions regarding standards, elevations, transferring mechanisms, etc.

4. Develops and maintains instrumentation, controls, PLC schematics and equipment drawings.

5. Develop layout designs, etc. that contribute to a safe work environment through input of candidate's customs and team approach to detail.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Must be at least 18 years of age.

2. Must be able to support 24/7/365 operation.

3. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

4. Associates Degree in computer aided design, drafting, or other related field.

5. 1-3 years of experience working in manufacturing environment.

6. Training or experience in mechanical and electrical techniques

7. Must be able to read and interpret CAD drawings and utilize computer programs to create drawings to scale.

8. Must be capable of creating 3D drawings.
