Summary:
The Associate Dean of Students is a 12-month, full-time, exempt position with the option to live on campus or off campus. Under the direction of the Dean of Students, the Associate Dean of Students serves as a leader in the planning, coordination, and administration of campus activities, housing, and residence life. This position builds relationships with students, faculty, and staff to promote a positive and supportive campus environment. The Associate Dean of Students assists with student conduct issues and serves as an impartial facilitator in supporting, and in some cases, resolving undergraduate student academic, personal welfare, and financial matters. Given the nature of this role, the Associate Dean of Students interacts with various campus departments and community-based agencies as well as faculty, staff, and student guardian/family members.

Qualifications, Required Knowledge, and Experience:
Master's degree in Higher Education, Student Personnel, or related field required. Previous professional (post-graduate) student life and supervisory experience required. Experience with emergency response to on-campus situations. Demonstrated skills in the following areas: supervision, organization, collaboration, crisis management, leadership, teamwork, and assessment. Knowledge of student development and leadership development theories. Ability to lift 25 pounds. Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs. A background check will be required of all successful applicants.
