Description:
The Judge Group is seeking a Space Planner for a long term contract opportunity with a DOD Client in Cambridge MA



  • An active Secret Clearance is preferred; all candidates must be clearable US citizens.

As a Space Planner at our organization, you'll play a crucial role in optimizing office and lab spaces. You'll create occupancy and space utilization strategies for our campuses, ensuring efficient and effective use of our facilities. Key Qualifications:



  • 1-4 years of experience: You've worked in a space planner role or a design-focused position related to workplace or lab planning.


  • Revit proficiency: Experience with Revit is essential, and familiarity with AutoCAD is a plus.


  • Design document review: You're comfortable reviewing design and construction documents.


  • Analytical mindset: You can analyze data and make informed decisions.


  • Effective communication: Your presentation and communication skills are outstanding.


  • Attention to detail: You thrive on precision and accuracy.


  • Excel and PowerPoint: Proficiency in these tools is advantageous.


  • DoD Secret Clearance: You must be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.


  • Collaborative approach: You'll work across different teams and organizations to find solutions.


  • Process improvement: Proactively seek opportunities to enhance processes.

Responsibilities:



  • Space Requests: Review end-user space requests and create test fit plans that align with organizational efficiency and available resources.


  • Collaboration: Engage with business area and functional leaders to understand office and lab requirements and provide timely solutions.


  • Design Leadership: Lead design efforts from an owner's perspective, covering programming through construction documentation.


  • Project Alignment: Ensure alignment of all projects with company design standards.


  • Space Planning: Develop and implement space plans that meet organizational and operational needs, promoting an efficient office/lab environment.


  • Interior Design and Wayfinding: Manage interior design aspects and conduct annual space utilization audits.


  • Benchmarking: Compare current spaces to industry peers and stay informed about workplace research for potential improvements.


  • Education: A bachelor's degree in architecture or a closely related field provides the foundational knowledge for this role.

  • Travel: Occasional travel may be necessary.


  • An active Secret Clearance is preferred; all candidates must be clearable US citizens.
