Operations Excellence BI Leader at Enpro Industries, Inc. in Palmyra, New York

Job Description:

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Apply your expertise in quantitative analysis, data mining, and the presentation of data to see beyond the numbers and understand how our users can effectively utilize our solutions.
• Work closely with all cross functional teams responsible in the process from customer order origination, through delivery of products to drive quality into each phase of the process.
• Analyze large volumes of data, identify patterns and inconsistencies, and work with stakeholders to identify improvements.
• Support data cleanup efforts and weekly status tracking routines.
• Lead requirements gathering activities, validation testing, and data modeling.
• Manage a workflow queue of updates to master/reference data sets.
• Organize and maintain documentation and project details.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Business Analysis: Building key data sets for operational and exploratory analysis, proposing what to build in the roadmap, understanding trends and behaviors and identifying new levers to improve metrics. Then make findings visible to influence positive change.
• Streamlining Operations: Work with stakeholders from each business unit to eliminate bottlenecks by developing strategies for improvement opportunities using data driven decisions.
• Continuous Improvement: Through process mapping, stakeholder engagement, and data analysis, identify opportunities for lead time reduction as well as cost saving actions to be taken.
• Connectedness: Drive data-based insights while fostering relationships and collaboration across the operation to highlight inefficiencies that impact internal customers before and after each departments process steps to ensure complete and correct interactions.

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS:

• Business metrics dashboards are regularly up to date, reliable, and consistent.
• Monthly progress reporting.
• Continuous evolution of metrics as problems are solved, new ones are found and made visible to drive action.
• Drive improvement in each business unit metrics towards reduction in overall on time delivery metric.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant work experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience required.
• Experience with BI tools to consolidate data and set up automation.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel user with high level of comfortability pulling data from ERP and/or CRM systems, or various database platforms.
• We are seeking an individual with strong analytical ability and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with all levels of the organization.
• Ability to translate data into visually appealing and executive-ready reports and/or dashboards.
• Experience leading complex and strategic initiatives.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple issues and/or assignments with time-sensitive deadlines.
• Proven experience in implementing technology solutions and optimizing business processes.

Enpro carefully considers a wide range of compensation factors including the background, education, training, and experience required, as well as geographic considerations such as cost of labor, and applicable local and state laws. These considerations can cause offered compensation to vary. The hiring range for this position is typically $84,000 to $136,000 annually. Actual offer will be based on the individual candidate. Enpro offers a range of benefits including, but not limited to medical, dental, vision, life, 401(k) matching, and other supplemental insurance options.
