The Boeing Company is looking for a Mid-Level System and Network Administrator to join our Space Systems Verification and Test team in El Segundo, CA. In this position, you'll contribute to a team responsible for the hardening, deployment, automation, setup, and readiness of Special Test Equipment in factory and launch environments.

The System and Network Administrator Functions supports a 24/7 hour Test operation. This position is 4th shift meaning, various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Provides Factory Floor support to multiple Programs; defining & documenting Test setups, Deploying Test Software & Configurations, Troubleshooting, communicating/coordinating program requests, and supporting requests from the team to improve effectiveness, efficiency, productivity
  • Develops, implements, and sustains tools that enable product security requirements
  • Utilizes agile methodologies to plan, execute, and track product security statement of work
  • Develops and enhances system requirements and architectures for product security to meet all applicable certification and customer requirements
  • Configures and ensures security of facilities, equipment, tools, data, networks, and resources used for product: design, development, build, test, storage, delivery, operations, and support


This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
  • Current CompTIA Security+ certification
  • Current CompTIA Network+ certification
  • Currently hold an Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) certification
  • Cisco Certifed Network Assocaite (CCNA) certification
  • Experience in certifying PTEX (Payload Test Executive) and MTEX (Modular Test Executive) Test Servers
  • Experience in certifying Automated Test Controller (ATC) Server and Client
  • Experience in Operating Systems: RedHat Enterprise Linux, Oracle Enterprise Linux, and Cisco IOS
  • 6+ years of experience with Private, Corporate, Charter and/or Military Operations


Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
  • Experience in Satellite Test And STE Operations Readiness
  • Experience in Cyber Security
  • Experience in Redhat and Oracle Linux servers, Windows XP - Windows 10 OS and network-based storage system


Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Relocation:

Shift:

This position is for variable shift.

Various shifts, nights, weekends, and alternate shifts may be required to support program objectives.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $102,000 - $138,000
