Georgia-Pacific is hiring a CNC Machinist for our Clatskanie, OR location, starting pay is $43.39/hour. Georgia-Pacific's Consumer Products facility in Wauna/Clatskanie, Oregon is a high-speed manufacturer of a variety of tissue and paper products. What You Will Do
- Perform machining work with CNC Mills and Lathes.
- Industrial maintenance and PM's (Lathes, Milling Machines, Key Seaters, Surface Grinders, Radial Drill Presses, CNC mills and CNC Lathe, and other typical Machine Shop Equipment)
- Maintain tooling inventory and stock levels
- Adhere to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures
- Assist crew members working in a team environment
- Keep work area clean before, after, and throughout shift
- Maintain all safety guards on equipment and following all lock out/tag out procedures to promote a safe working environment for all employees
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- High School Diploma or GED
- Recent experience within the past 2 years and a minimum of 4 total years or more of experience in programing and operating CNC Machining Equipment
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints
- Experience in conducting preventative and corrective maintenance on all types of Machine Shop Equipment
- Experience using a computer to generate, distribute and maintain maintenance records
What Will Put You Ahead
- Experience within the past 2 years and 4 total years or more of experience in manual machining on older Lathes, Milling Machines, Key Seaters, Surface Grinders, Radial Drill Presses, and other typical Machine Shop Equipment
- 5 or more years with CNC programming and or operating experience
- Manual machining experience
