The Clinical Research Coordination Manager position will provide research management support to the NIH-NIA funded Alzheimer’s Disease Research Center (ADRC) at the University of Pittsburgh, Department of Neurology. Incumbent will provide oversight to clinical trials and other consortium studies in which the ADRC participates.
Job duties will include: identifying and recruiting potential research participants appropriate for various studies, including screening for inclusion/exclusion criteria; providing oversight to study database; creating/ maintaining tracking databases; monitoring AE’s and SAE and summarizing any unanticipated events; managing IRB required documentation and other regulatory documents; providing oversight to faculty and staff on the studies; budgeting for new studies; and developing internal quality- assurance protocols.
Manages day-to-day Program responsibilities for staff in research study administration, recruitment, and logistics. Develops and implements operational plans and systems for recruitment, data collection, and meeting project goals and deliverables. Essential functions:
Mostly sedentary, walking to other departments including the CTRC, MR and PET Centers in UPMC Presbyterian, lifting light packages related to clinical trials shipments of materials.
