Job Summary:The ideal candidate will have strong 10-key data entry skills, proficiency in Excel, and a solid understanding of accounts payable processes. This role requires working onsite 100% of the time.
Key Responsibilities:
Process and review invoices, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Enter and verify data using 10-key for efficient and accurate entry.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies promptly.
Maintain organized and up-to-date AP records and documentation.
Collaborate with internal departments and external vendors to address any issues or concerns.
Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments.
Assist in month-end closing activities, including AP accruals and journal entries.
Generate reports and provide analysis on AP metrics using Excel.
Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Specialist or in a similar role.
Strong 10-key data entry skills with a high degree of accuracy.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the ability to create and manipulate spreadsheets, use formulas, and generate reports.
Knowledge of accounting principles and AP procedures.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
