The Systems Administrator is essential in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of AxoSim's IT infrastructure. This role involves the management of on-premise and cloud servers, network systems, end-user hardware and software, email security, and other critical systems. Key responsibilities include evaluating and improving system functionality, defining technical requirements, managing vulnerabilities and threats, providing comprehensive technical support, and leveraging technology to enhance staff efficiency. This is an on-site position in Maple Grove, MN.
Responsibilities
Monitor, and maintain local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and network segments and servers, such as active directory, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.
Provide support to on-site and remote users including onboarding/offboarding, installations, hardware and software, and configuring systems and applications.
Implement and maintain security measures to protect the organization's IT assets from unauthorized access, malware, and other cyber threats. Monitor security logs, conduct regular vulnerability assessment reviews, and respond to security incidents promptly.
Manage data backup solutions to ensure data integrity, availability, and restoration effectiveness.
Manage vendor relationships and oversee related projects, including evaluating performance, coordinating support, and ensuring the procurement of necessary IT-related products and services.
Support development infrastructure to facilitate software development and testing environments, ensuring reliable and efficient operations.
Administer and review the security awareness program by evaluating employee training outcomes and reports to enhance organizational security.
Ability to travel 5-10%.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience required.
Minimum four years of related experience required.
Experience with Microsoft Windows Server administration, with a focus on configuring, maintaining, and optimizing Active Directory and Group Policy.
Experience with managing and maintaining cloud platforms, particularly AWS and Azure, to ensure optimal performance and integration with existing systems.
Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automating IT tasks and enhancing efficiency.
Exceptional knowledge of networking technologies (OSI network layers, TCP/IP).
