Roles And Responsibilities • Oversee product development of RTW from proto stage to final production • Manage and track proto and SMS samples, counter-sample approvals, lab dips to ensure quality standards are met and deliveries per timeline and communicate to factories • Prepare samples and standards to review wash/ fabric/ trim. • Source materials- fabric and trims ensuring quality and price points are met • Maintain all fabric WIPS/FDS/YDS • Manage and set up all fabric and color codes and input into PLM • Order all development and SMS fabric and trims • Prepare and send out color cards • Review all surcharges and maintain invoices for approvals at the end of a season • Prepare all standards and hand off to Production team at the end of a season • Manage style pre-costing and analyze all subsequent prototype costing to ensure yield, material costs, and LDP's/FOB's are accurate and meet margin objectives
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities) • Proficient in Microsoft Applications • Proficient in PLM system(s) • Proficient in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop • Proficient in CADS and flat sketching • Strong organizational skills • Ability to interpret design intent and offer alternative solutions • Ability to prioritize workflow based on deadlines • Ability to problem solve and communicate all issues to cross functional departments
Education And Experience • Bachelor's Degree and/or equivalent • Minimum 5 year's experience in Men's or Women's Apparel Product Development
