Role Description:

BigRio is seeking a highly skilled Senior API Integration Specialist to join our team part-time. The successful candidate will be responsible for integrating complex API structures for our care quality network, specifically focusing on the National API for healthcare data. This role requires deep technical expertise, experience with AWS and PostgreSQL, and the ability to work with open-sourced repositories and existing technology infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
  • Integrate and manage complex API structures for the care quality network.
  • Work with the National API for healthcare data and ensure seamless integration with existing systems.
  • Utilize the open-sourced 'hie' repository, including Saml Wrappers, for care quality integration.
  • Develop and modify XML files for authentication using LXML and Saml.
  • Assess and ensure the capability and comfortability of potential staff with various technologies and tools.
  • Collaborate with the team to address challenges related to the decentralized system architecture.
  • Provide support and technical expertise to ongoing technology projects.

Requirements:
  • Proven experience in API integration, particularly in complex healthcare data environments.
  • Proficiency with AWS cloud platform and PostgreSQL-oriented databases.
  • Experience with open-sourced repositories and Saml Wrappers.
  • Strong knowledge of LXML and SAML for XML file creation and authentication.
  • Ability to navigate and modify systems with limited documentation.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Availability to commit 10 to 20 hours per week.

Preferred Qualifications:

Previous experience working with healthcare data and National API standards.

Familiarity with care quality networks and related technologies.

Experience with staff augmentation and project management.
