Position Summary: Project Engineer - Controls will be part of a multidisciplinary project team whose role is to produce functioning water, wastewater, and process separation solutions. The role of Project Engineer - Controls in the team is industrial automation programming for chemical process equipment control.
Core Competencies:
Experience with Rockwell Studio 5000 development software (PLC and HMI)
Ethernet network design specification (physical media and configuration)
Familiarity with chemical process systems particularly the ability to read P&ID and develop control narrative.
Position Responsibilities:
PLC/HMI application program development
Industrial network design (primarily Ethernet)
Factory acceptance testing
Site support for commissioning activities (<25% of time).
Participation in development and maintenance of in-house programming standards
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety
Desired Skills:
Experience with Siemens S7, Comfort Panel, and TIA Portal programming.
Industrial control panel design (wiring and layout).
Electrical controls troubleshooting
