ABOUT THE TEAM
The Business Intelligence team is a group of creative developers that works together to create a collaborative culture with a diverse work environment of motivated individuals who bring people together and strengthen bonds.
Job Responsibilities:
Technology Delivery
Designs, develops, and optimizes AWS-based data solutions to ensure efficient and scalable data processing.
Implements best practices for data warehousing, ensuring high performance and reliability.
Develops and maintains scalable and efficient data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading ETL data from various sources.
Contributes to developing standards and procedures related to application development, security standards, and data management.
Team Growth & Mentorship
Provides guidance and mentorship for the development team, while fostering a collaborative and knowledge-sharing environment.
Provides feedback, trains and evaluates project work to team members promoting database development, data insights excellence, and system initiatives.
Helps identify and assist with barrier removal for the team in challenges that may arise.
Contributes to performance feedback of the team to the Director, IT.
External team collaboration:
Manage relationships across roles and organizations to maximize collaboration, partnership, and efficiency.
Collaborate with business units to understand and translate business requirements into effective data solutions, and ensure alignment between technical solutions and business goals.
Technical and leadership networking involvement outside of Merchants Bonding Company.
Business Value Delivery:
Drives the delivery of business intelligence solutions that provide actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
Continuously evaluates and improves data processes to enhance overall business value.
Engages in post-project reviews to discuss successes, lessons learned and best practices for future projects.
Contributes to the development and execution of analytics strategic planning that aligns with the organizational objectives.
YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Business Analytics, Information Technology, MIS, or equivalent work experience plus 5+ years of relevant programming experience in technologies associated with specific individual and team duties.
Skills and Knowledge:
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders in simple and understandable terms.
Organized and detail oriented.
Strong SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages experience.
Proficient experience on AWS services and Redshift.
Worked in an agile development environment, including pair programming and test development.
Working knowledge in data insight/reporting tools such as Logi Analytics, Power BI or Tableau.
