Robert Half's client is seeking a Director of Procurement that will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day operations related to procurement, purchasing and supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
Procurement Management:
Examine requisitions and prepare solicitation documents, including RFPs, Invitations for Bids, RFQs, and multi-year procurement packages.
Contract Oversight:
Consult with departmental officials regarding supply, equipment, and service needs, reviewing purchase requests, and deciding on purchasing methods.
Vendor Relations:
Manage correspondence and interviews with vendors regarding price changes, discounts, shipping methods, adjustments, cancellations, and contracted services.
Team Leadership:
Develop a high-performance procurement team and exceed established KPIs related to employee safety, food safety, product quality, production, order fulfillment, and employee training.
Continuous Improvement:
Analyze current procurement activities and recommend improvements through more efficient procurement methods to maximize delivery.
Regulatory Compliance:
Assist in the development of departmental rules and regulations, procurement policies, and procedures.
