Job Description:
As a Project Engineer 2, you will use your engineering degree and project management skills to oversee various stages of projects, from development to installation and commissioning. Your responsibilities will include:
Creating plans, designs, and solutions for assigned projects.
Developing process instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs) based on customer specifications.
Performing calculations and analyses like fluid flow, heat leak, and pressure vessel thickness.
Assisting in the development of production drawings.
Collaborating with sales teams and customers to understand system requirements.
Working with suppliers to select components for systems.
Providing updates on design status and equipment lists to project management.
Supporting production during fabrication and assembly.
Conducting onsite field checkouts and equipment commissioning.
Occasionally assisting the Proposals Team with quotations.
Undertaking other duties assigned by management.
Required Experience:
3 years of experience in engineering, design, fabrication, and commissioning of mechanical equipment, preferably in industries like pressure vessels, boilers, or oil and gas.
Knowledge of industrial codes such as ASME B31.3, ASME Section VIII Division 1, and NFPA 52/59A.
Proficiency in MathCAD and experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks® (preferred).
Familiarity with ERP and PDM software (preferred).
Strong communication skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
Understanding of heat transfer, structural analysis, and fluid flow.
Required Education:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
Physical Requirements and Working Environment:
Office environment with some engineering lab and outdoor testing.
Potential for up to 10% travel.
Physical demands include standing, sitting, walking, and computer work.
Possible exposure to hazards like rough materials, temperature extremes, and chemical solvents.
