The Greater Richmond Bar Foundation (GRBF) seeks to provide meaningful access to justice for those who need civil legal services but cannot afford a lawyer. We do this by recruiting, training, mentoring, and matching volunteer lawyers with opportunities to serve.
We need an Administrative & Program Manager to manage day-to-day operational and administrative tasks and work with other staff to oversee GRBF programs and events. We are looking for someone with a passion for social justice to join our team of 3. You'll wear multiple hats and form valuable relationships with the Virginia attorneys committed to pro bono service. This position reports to the Executive Director (ED).
WORK SCHEDULE:
This is a full-time position, with flexible hours of service and location, except for
in-person meetings scheduled in advance.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Program Duties:
Manage GRBF Programs, including the Pro Bono Clearinghouse and Wills Clinics
Recruit and manage volunteer attorneys.
Manage assigned cases on a Salesforce database, reporting on program results to stakeholders.
Administrative Duties:
Manage day-to-day financial and administrative transactions for GRBF
Maintain transaction records for GRBF's bank accounts
Maintain donor database and provide reports as necessary
Oversee sponsorships and logistics for 3 Special Events (Jazz4Justice, Lawyerpalooza, and Pro Bono Showcase & Celebration)
Provide administrative support the ED & Board of Directors
Communications
Answer incoming calls and emails for assistance
As requested, update and maintain content for web, social media, and email
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Degree in business, nonprofit management, paralegal studies or equivalent (The position does not require a law degree or bar license.)
Excellent oral and written communication skills; comfortable building relationships with key stakeholders.
Experience working with volunteers and/or managing others.
High level of integrity and discretion in handling financial and other confidential information
Experience working with database platforms (e.g., Salesforce).
Ability to work independently, with minimal supervision. Comfortable working on multiple assignments and switching between tasks.
Experience working with office software, (MS Office, Google Workspace, etc.)
A passion for nonprofit work and access to justice.
SALARY: $50,000+ DOE
