Job Description:

The Product Manager is responsible for the development and implementation of strategy for the EPDM product line including coordination with other Product Managers and cross-functional teams to drive a cohesive roofing systems strategy. The Product Manager is responsible for overall profitability through daily product line management, including collaboration with SIOP, price, cost, inventory, product lifecycle, and support of account management and sales activities.

Your Day-to-Day:
  • Leverage tool sets to assess and strategically rebalance the portfolio by pinpointing cost savings, SKU reduction possibilities, new product needs, and avenues for profit maximization.
  • Deliver consistent and on-demand reports and briefings to corporate leaders regarding product lines and initiatives.
  • Collaborate with pricing and sales teams to establish target margins and pricing strategies that reflect market supply/demand and competitive insights.
  • Align sales, operations, and supply chain efforts to strike the right SIOP balance, meeting internal metrics while exceeding customer expectations.
  • Offer forecasts spanning 3-24 months, and fine-tune 0-3 month sales projections to fulfill business objectives.
  • Craft and bolster Value Propositions for products and systems, enlightening customers, sales, and customer service personnel about choices and the value to the customer.
  • Orchestrate comprehensive sales support for designated product lines, including the creation of sales tools and tactics to achieve profitability targets for both product lines and market segments.
  • Update product technical data sheets, finished product specifications, and other marketing materials as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant local, state, and federal laws, as well as necessary standards and codes (FM, UL, ASTM, etc.), by working closely with technical, legal, and code management teams.
  • Address matters such as supply contracts, trademarks, and patents in collaboration with supply chain, legal, and operations teams, and guarantee that product labeling adheres to governmental regulations and company guidelines.

What You Bring to the Team:
  • Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 5 years experience in technical, technical sales, and marketing role related to commercial construction or building products MBA preferred
  • Demonstrated use and comfort with marketing and product management tools such as ABC inventory management, segmentation and targeting, quality functional deployment, value chain analysis, five-forces, value proposition development, or other tools
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Expert analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365
