Job Description:

24 Seven is partnering with a luxury goods retailer to help them find a Product Developer to join their team. This is a full-time, salaried opportunity with benefits, working 5-days onsite at their Eugene, OR location.

Ideal Candidate: will have 4 years of experience in product development with a strong focus on developing tech packs for bags, belts and accessories. Must also be proficient in Adobe Illustrator or similar software.

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Product Developer with a specialized focus on creating comprehensive tech packs for our diverse range of accessories and bags. This role is crucial in guaranteeing that our products achieve the highest standards of quality and innovation.

Responsibilities:

Tech Pack Development:
  • Develop detailed and accurate tech packs for new product designs, ensuring they reflect design intent, functionality, and manufacturing requirements.
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Production, and Sourcing teams to gather necessary information and specifications.
  • Utilize Adobe Illustrator or similar software to create clear illustrations and diagrams.
  • Specify materials, construction methods, trims, and hardware needed for each product.

Prototype Coordination:
  • Work closely with sample makers and manufacturers to translate tech packs into physical prototypes.
  • Conduct thorough reviews and revisions of prototypes to ensure they meet design and quality standards.
  • Document and communicate feedback effectively to achieve desired product outcomes.

Material Sourcing and Evaluation:
  • Assist in sourcing appropriate materials and trims that align with design requirements and sustainability goals.
  • Evaluate material samples for quality, functionality, and durability.

Production Support:
  • Provide support during the production process to ensure tech pack details are accurately executed.
  • Address any technical issues that arise during production, collaborating with cross-functional teams to find solutions.

Quality Control:
  • Participate in quality control inspections to verify products meet established specifications.
  • Identify areas for improvement in product construction and make recommendations accordingly.

Documentation and Organization:
  • Maintain organized records of tech packs, revisions, and specifications.
  • Ensure all documentation is up-to-date and accessible to relevant teams.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Fashion Design, Product Development, Industrial Design, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in product development with a strong emphasis on creating tech packs for soft goods or similar products.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator or similar software for creating technical drawings and specifications.
  • Solid understanding of materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes related to soft goods.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively across teams and with external partners.
  • Passion for craftsmanship, sustainability, and creating high-quality products.

Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with PLM (Product Lifecycle Management) software.
  • Familiarity with ethical sourcing practices and sustainability standards in the fashion industry.
