Job Description:

As the Plant Manager for an Electro-mechanical device manufacturer, you will oversee all aspects of manufacturing operations within the plant. Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will be responsible for ensuring efficient production processes, optimizing workflow, and managing resources to meet production schedules and quality standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise in electro-mechanical assembly, and a focus on continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Responsibilities:
  • Production Management:
  • Plan, organize, and oversee daily production activities to ensure on-time delivery of products while meeting quality and cost targets.
  • Implement production schedules and resource allocation strategies to maximize efficiency and minimize downtime.
  • Monitor production metrics, analyze performance data, and implement corrective actions as needed to improve productivity and reduce waste.
  • Quality Assurance:
  • Establish and enforce quality control standards and procedures to ensure compliance with customer specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Work closely with the quality assurance team to address product quality issues and implement quality improvement initiatives.
  • Team Leadership:
  • Lead and motivate a team of production supervisors, technicians, and assembly workers, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Provide coaching, training, and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and performance.
  • Ensure robust development & succession planning processes are deployed and maintained to support front line production team members and leads
  • Inventory and Supply Chain Management:
  • Coordinate with procurement and logistics teams to ensure availability of raw materials, components, and supplies necessary for production.
  • Optimize inventory levels to support production schedules while minimizing carrying costs and inventory obsolescence.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance:
  • Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations and promote a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Implement and enforce plant policies and procedures to maintain compliance with regulatory standards and company policies.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, or other relevant techniques to enhance operational efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to implement process improvements, new technologies, and best practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in manufacturing/production environment, preferably in electro-mechanical assembly or related industries with at least 7 years managerial experience.
  • Strong track record of delivering results through other people, to include examples of coaching, mentoring, developing, and managing performance.   • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a dynamic and complex production environment.
